There is again a big jump from the Amic red to the 2012 Clos d'Agon Tinto, a Bordeaux blend of 58% Cabernet Franc, 24% Syrah, 11% Petit Verdot and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon matured in a mixture of new and used French oak barrels for 18 months. It has the peppery, spicy nose associated with the varieties but a more Mediterranean palate with juicy fruit and fine, ripe tannins. It has some animal notes and a little bit of tempera paint which might increase in bottle, so as it's polished enough, I would drink it sooner rather than later with powerful food, meat stews and the like. 1,304 bottles produced.
