The I Favati 2017 Greco di Tufo Terrantica is a crisp and delineated wine that offers fresh tones of citrus, pear and Golden Delicious apple. The wine reveals dusty tones of crushed mineral or volcanic ash. Those unique aromas always accompany my favorite expressions of Greco di Tufo. That mineral side gives the wine enormous versatility to pair with your favorite fish or vegetable dishes. Some 20,000 bottles were made.

The 2007 Greco di Tufo Terrantica from I Favati is a pretty, perfumed Greco with nicely delineated aromas and flavors. The wine showed considerable development after a few hours so some aeration seems warranted for the wine to show at its best. This crisp, refreshing white from Campania is best enjoyed over the next year or two. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010. Fattoria Nicodemi is a great source for wines from Abbruzzo.
