The 2012 Semillon shows a nose of pure lemon juice and green apple notes with hints of crushed stones and fresh thyme. Light-bodied, bone dry and very tart (in a good way!) with oodles of citrus intensity at this youthful stage, the finish is long and zesty. Drink it 2014 to 2023+. Imported by H. The 2009 Semillon is a bit closed on the nose with notes of citrus zest, lemon grass and a whiff of lingering SO2. Crisp, clean and refreshing, it possesses an uncomplicated citrusy character. Medium-long finish. Drink now to 2013. Amongst the younger generation of Lower Hunter wineries, a couple of De Iuliis 2009 Semillons were of such quality and value that I was compelled to recommend them.No known USA importer.
