I had some reservations about the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Tietjen Vineyard. The color is a dark ruby/purple, and there is plenty of plum and black currant fruit intermixed with earth and lead pencil notes, but the wine reveals aggressive, rustic tannins, and the narrow, rugged finish could turn out to be problematic.
