Revealing a bright ruby color and dark berry fruit aromas, the Cote De Beaune-Villages is a well-made, blackberry, blueberry, and metal-flavored, silky, and medium-bodied wine. It is simple, not particularly complex or concentrated, but flawless and pleasing. This is the only under $10 1996 red Burgundy I tasted that I can recommend. Alain Corcia once again delivers a delicious wine at a reasonable price.Alain Corcia Selections (French Fax # 011-33-3-80-22-71-46), importers include Southern Wines & Spirits in California.
