Olga Raffault's ruby-colored 2018 Chinon offers a clear, fresh and clean bouquet of sour cherries and spicy/earthy aromas. The palate is elegant, fresh and silky, revealing licorice flavors intertwining with dark cherry and berry flavors. This is a lean yet quite intense and straightforward Cabernet Franc with finely crunchy tannins and a stimulating tart finish. 12.5% alcohol. Tasted in April 2021.
