The 1995 Reserve Syrah is dark ruby/purple-colored and has a pepper, blackberry, and blueberry-filled nose. Its lean and hollow palate does offer lovely leather, red and black fruit, and oak flavors. This medium-bodied wine is well-made, but lacks the density essential for a more exalted review. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.Chateau Ste. Michelle's wines are for the most part beautifully made, well-structured and well-defined.
