Made with organically grown grapes, the Cesani 2019 Vernaccia di San Gimignano starts off as lemony and citrusy, but that's before it relaxes to show hints of mineral, curry spice and orchard fruit. This Vernaccia also shows a defined note of honey that appears on the bouquet and is then successfully transferred to the palate, both in terms of flavor and texture. This is a great value wine to enjoy with a chicken-salad lunch.

Pretty mineral notes of pencil shaving and white chalk open Vincenzo Cesani’s 2013 Vernaccia di San Gimignano. There is a full aromatic quality here with ample fruit softness at the back. The mouthfeel also veers towards softness and roundness although the acidity is nicely on display. This Vernaccia adds a touch of plump sweetness to the close.
