The Castello di Farnetella 2018 Lucilla is 70% Sangiovese cut with equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This is an easy and approachable red wine to drink with your favorite pasta or meat dish. From a cooler vintage, the wine offers some bitter fruit and sour cherry with crushed stone and herbs on the close. The mouthfeel is thin and short in this vintage, making for an informal and easy personality. Production is an ample 19,000 bottles.
