The Castello Banfi 2016 Cum Laude is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. This wine feels a bit tight or more closely coiled and inward compared to the 2015. Ultimately, it offers more when given time to open. This wine follows the classic lines of a so-called super Tuscan red with a broad range of aromas and a Tuscan character that shines bright. Some 140,000 bottles were made.
