Mint, spice, red chilies and even some charcoal are apparent on the bouquet. Flavors of dried cherries and apple skin follow on the leathery palate. The ending impression is a bit light, but that’s o.k. Not every Barolo need be a tannic bomb, and this one is quite pleasant in its youth.
