While the 1998 Chardonnay Katherine's Vineyard exhibits high acidity, there is lots of flesh and flavor. Steely and Chablis-like, with undertones of what the Alsatians call petrol, earth, and citrus, this medium-bodied, concentrated Chardonnay should only improve over the next year; it will last for 4-5 years.
