Shuck your favorite type of oyster for this Branko 2019 Collio Pinot Grigio, a luminous and bright white wine with terrific purity. The bouquet is immediately redolent of Meyer lemon and pear with honey, pine nut and summer wild flower. Faint mineral notes add contours and extra definition to this balanced Pinot Grigio. A small 10% of the total goes into oak. Some 13,000 bottles were produced.

The 2017 Collio Pinot Grigio takes a minute or two to open, but it does so fully in rapid time. The bouquet shows citrusy notes of preserved lemon and dried grapefruit with sweet aromas of peach and poached pear. There is some pretty mineral definition as well. The mouthfeel is lean and tonic. A very small part of the wine (just 10%) sees some brief contact with oak. Some 16,000 bottles were produced.
