The 2006 Carmelo Rodero Roble is 100% Tempranillo from the estate’s younger vineyards and was aged for 6 months in new and used French and American oak. Medium crimson-colored, the wine reveals fruit forward aromas of black cherry, blackberry, spice box, and cedar. Supple, sweet, and with no hard edges, this nicely balanced wine can be enjoyed over the next 4-6 years.
Carmelo Rodero sold his grapes to Vega Sicilia until 1991 when he decided to make his own wine.
