The 2006 Crianza is a blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon that spent 12 months in 20% new French oak. Scents of smoke, tobacco, violets, black currant, and blackberry lead to a layered, ripe, concentrated wine with good balance and a pure finish. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
The latest collection from Bodegas Marco Real is uniformly excellent.
