The 2012 Lan D-12 (Fifth Edition) is pure Tempranillo from a diversity of suppliers following a very traditional recipe; fermentation in stainless steel and one year aging in American and French oak. It smells of roasted coffee with lactic hints over a core of ripe black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, framed by oak flavors and plenty of grainy, dusty tannins that coat your mouth and leave you with an overall astringent sensation. Wait? 60,000 bottles
