The heady and ripe 2019 Colección Parcelas de Garnacha has notes of liqueur and candied fruit, hedonistic and rich, with a velvety texture and deep flavors. It has 15% alcohol and good acidity that sustains the wine. The tannins are abundant but fine. It was bottled in June 2021 after 18 months in new and second-use barrels. 1,281 bottles.

The 2016 Colección Parcelas de Garnacha felt fresher and less Chateauneuf-like than the 2015 with a full 1% less alcohol. It was produced with grapes from two vineyards that were converted to organic farming in 2019. It fermented in small oak vats and matured in new and second use 500-liter French oak barrels for 18 months. It's floral and perfumed with a touch of dark spices and clove, some notes of licorice and an earthy touch. It's medium to full-bodied with soft tannins and a velvety texture, finishing dry and long. 2,011 bottles were filled in April 2018.

The 2015 Colección Parcelas de Garnacha was sourced from different vineyards that were fermented separately in small oak vats. The wine matured in new and second use 500-liter French oak barrels for 18 months. It started quite closed and a little reductive, and it took some time in the glass to open up. It developed into a characterful wine, ripe without excess and a little wild, more in a Rh?ne style than like other examples from Rioja. It's a little heady and with a meaty touch, and I like it very much. It has 15% alcohol and a warm and generous profile, but the alcohol is not noticeable and it's nicely balanced by good acidity. This comes mostly from higher-altitude vineyards in Tudelilla, in the Carbonera zone. 1,200 bottles were filled in May 2017.

The 2012 Colección Vivanco Parcelas de Garnacha felt very ripe, a little earthy, even organic with some grapey aromas, closer to the 2011 than to the 2010. The palate is juicy and lush, showing some warmth but with fine tannins. 2,990 bottles.

The Vivanco Parcelas 2011 Coleccion Garnacha suffered in comparison to the wines from 2012. This 2011 shows riper with hints of Mediterranean herbs (think esparto grass) and the subtle aromas of the grape seems to have vanished with the ripeness, leaving you with notes of dark plums and hints of raisins. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannins that are still a little edgy. 1,880 bottles.
