A delicious wine and very much the model for value in Spanish Garnacha. That this has 25% Tempranillo only seems to make it better; the nose is sweet but full and plummy. The essence of mint and orange peel add character to the youthful red fruit that defines the bouquet of this 100% Garnacha. Cherry, plum skin and red licorice flavors come in front of a zesty, sharp, lean finish. There’s not much fat or waste to this wine; it’s precise and racy, and eminently tasty.
