The 2008 Misterio is a blend of Bonarda, Malbec, and Petit Verdot aged in barrique for 12 months. It displays more complexity than the Blend cuvee in its bouquet of wood smoke, Asian spices, violets, plum, and blackberry. Medium-bodied on the palate, with a sense of elegance in the glass, this nicely proportioned effort has the structure to evolve for 1-2 years and will provide pleasure through 2020. The 2007 Misterio One is purple-colored with a nose of brier, underbrush, spice box, and assorted black fruits. Dense and savory on the palate, it exhibits excellent grip and length.
