The 2006 Pinot Noir Valois Reserve includes 30% stems, something seen infrequently in the modern era. Dark ruby-colored, it reveals an excellent perfume of spice box, cedar, cherry, and black raspberry. This is followed by a wine with good density, ripe, succulent black cherry and black raspberry flavors, excellent concentration, and a persistent, fruit-filled finish. It will evolve for 2-3 years and be at its best from 2010 to 2018. Bishop Creek maintains its offices and tasting room in Portland at Urban Wineworks East. The vineyard, located in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, was originally planted in 1988, and currently has 14 acres in production with more to come.Tel. (503) 957-0351
