Bindi’s elegant 2001 Shiraz Bundaleer was aged in 100% new French oak. This outstanding effort possesses deep, concentrated, sweet blackberry and cassis aromas intermixed with notions of toast, licorice, and pepper. There is an earthy minerality to the flavors as well as a long, sweet, pure finish. The longer this wine sat in the glass, the more a French Cote Rotie came to mind. High praise indeed.
