This single-vineyard offering, made from 100% Chardonnay, is barrel-fermented and left on its lees for 8 months. Most examples have tended to be overly-oaked, but the 1993 Sella de Boscone (one-third new oak was utilized) exhibits good ripeness, an attractive vanillin, pear, apple, and pineapple-scented nose, some spice, ripe fruit, medium body, and a subtle, but appealing character. It needs to be drunk before the end of 1996. A Leonardo LoCasio Selection, imported by Winebow Imports, Hohokus, NJ; (800) 445-0620.
