The 2016 Cabernet Franc is very pretty, exhibiting notes of minty wild berries, pencil shavings and subtle cocoa nib. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and satiny, with a generous core of fruit and fine-grained structuring tannins. Classy and open-knit, enjoy it over the next 5 or 6 years.

A variety that's deserving more and more attention, the 2014 Cabernet Franc from Andrew Will offers lots of ripeness (if not a tad over-ripeness) in its chocolaty dark fruits, plums, herbs and earth aromas and flavors. These carry over to the palate where the wine is medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated and has good length. Drink it over the coming 4-5 years.

Andrew Will's medium-to-dark ruby-colored 1996 Cabernet Franc is a lovely wine. Its aromas of stewed tomatoes, wheat, minerals, herbs, and candied blueberries are reminiscent of a Chinon from an extremely hot and ripe vintage. On the palate, any similarities with a wine from the Loire end abruptly. This magnificently balanced wine is crammed with jammy red, blue, and black fruits that reveal a level of ripeness unheard of in red Loire wines. It is medium-to-full-bodied, highly focused, and well-defined. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.Note: The Andrew Will Winery is located in a residential neighborhood on Vashon Island.
