The flagship 2004 Desnudos is a blend of 60% Malbec and 40% Tempranillo. It receives a unique elevage of eight months in new oak followed by an additional 22 months in second use oak. It offers up an alluring nose of toast, mineral, espresso, black cherry, and blackberry liqueur. This leads to an elegant, medium to full-bodied wine with excellent savory flavors, outstanding depth and concentration, and a lingering, fruit-filled finish. Drink it from 2010 to 2018. Altocedro is an old winery facility refurbished in 1999 with the first vintage occurring in 2001. The estate consists of 27 hectares with current production standing at 5000 cases of which 95% is exported. All the wines are fermented with native yeasts.Importer: Epic Wines, Santa Cruz, CA; tel.
