The 2010 Barbaresco shows a beautifully intense quality of fruit and gains volume in the glass as it aerates. Black currant, spice, leather and tobacco peel off the bouquet in thick layers. This a classic expression of Nebbiolo that is supported by firm tannins and bright acidity at the back. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2020. No known American importer.

Rocca’s 2007 Barbaresco bursts from the glass with generous dark red fruit, licorice, new leather, mint and spices. This forward, juicy Barbaresco possesses terrific balance and a warm, open personality that makes it an excellent choice for drinking over the next few years.
