The 2012 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir is fermented in oak barrels for ten months, around 25% new. It has a dense cranberry and blackberry bouquet that is quite forward and showy, perhaps a little too extrovert for a Pinot Noir, but that is probably due to the growing season. The palate is a little chunky, with earthy blackberry and raspberry fruit interlaced with coca, moderate in length, with a dash of spice toward the finish. Not bad for the price.
