The 2013 Petite Sirah Thompson Vineyard is so primary tastes like it just came out of the barrel! Inky blue/purplish fruit, cassis, blackberry jam, dark spices and leather are all fresh, vibrant and pure. A wine of significant potential, the 2013 needs time in bottle to lose some of its baby fat. It is impressive, though, even at this early stage. The Petite spent ten months in French and American oak barrels, 16% new (all American).
