The fresh, citrusy, floral-scented 2012 Chardonnay exhibits little evidence of oak. While it possesses good fruit, it appears relatively simple and straightforward compared to Keenan’s terrific reds. Drink it over the next year. Micheal Keenan has done an incredible job at this Spring Mountain winery over the last 10-15 years, producing one of the finest Cabernet Francs in all of northern California as well as hitting all cylinders with his other Bordeaux varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot as well as his sumptuous blend called Mernet.
