The 2015 Aloxe-Corton Village comes from a single parcel (unlike the Savigny-les-Beaune Village), specifically from Les Cras. I adore the aromatics here: nothing complex but very pure with blueberries and blackcurrants, a subtle floral note emerging with time, all with impressive delineation for a village cru. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. This feels crisp with a tensile, slightly chalky finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is a strong follow-up to the excellent 2014.
