The 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Heredita from the large cooperative won't be bottled until approximately February 2019. It's 95% Grenache and 5% Mourvèdre from the sandy soils of Les Bédines, currently aging in demi-muids. It's toasty, with restrained fruit and hints of menthol, features ample weight and richness but ends on a dry, astringent note. Let's see how it turns out once its élevage is complete.
