The 2009 Malbec contains 7% Cabernet Sauvignon in its makeup and saw 60% of the wine aged in French oak for 6 months. Funky and sharp at first, with aromas of a dog fresh out of the rain. The palate is choppy and a bit hot, with sharp, generic cherry flavors along with some carob. Finishes with angular, tart flavors and notes of coffee and mocha. ——M.S.(3/1/2011)—— 84
