The Pinot Noir portfolio begins with the entry-level 2006 Pinot Noir Oregon, a medium ruby-colored wine with spice box, cherry, and raspberry aromas. It has surprising depth for a “generic” Pinot Noir with layers of flavor and a persistent finish. Sineann’s major domo is Peter Rosback whose first vintage was 1995. Relatively soft, deliciously sweet, and nicely spiced up with pipe tobacco, herb and mint, this appealing blend is ready to go. It’s a wine you can only call pretty and it finishes with a lovely, chocolate nougat streak. The fruit is ripe but not jammy, and perfectly slotted in around the barrel flavors.——P.G.(11/15/2007)—— 90
