Readers looking for big, briery, dense, high alcohol Zinfandels will enjoy this offerings made by winemaker Bob Cabral. The 2000 Zinfandel Bacigalupi (16.7% alcohol) is powerful. It does not reveal the striking aromatics of the Forchini South Knoll, but offers dense, earthy, black fruit, and pepper characteristics strung together with high acids.
