Blended of 85% Mourvedre and 15% Shiraz, the 2009 -Black Sock- Mourvedre has a medium-deep garnet-purple color and earthy, evolving aromas of dusty dirt, warm plums, sandalwood, mulberries and leather. Medium bodied with just enough fruit in the mouth, it has a medium level of chewy tannins, crisp acid and a long earthy / gamey finish. Drink this one now to 2015.
