The medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Pinot Noir Pierre Leon (2000 cases were produced) bursts from the glass with Asian spices, blackberries, and blueberries. This broad, medium to full-bodied wine is packed with concentrated layers of black fruits and fresh herbs. It is a masculine, muscular wine with loads of structure, yet remains dominated by its dark fruit flavors. Projected maturity: 2004-2010.
