The 2001 Masseria Maime, produced from a selection of the best Negro Amaro grapes, boasts powerful aromas of plums and blackberries, tar, and hung game, much flavor concentration and depth, ripe fruit, and a slight graininess of tannins and texture which suggest that waiting a bit for this wine would be a good policy.
