The 2014 du Glana has a respectable bouquet with well-defined, cedar-tinged red and black fruit, with pencil box aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, crisp acidity, quite lively in the mouth with fine tension. It merges into more black, dusky fruit towards the finish, the persistence on the mouth commendable. This discrete Saint Julien is very well crafted and should give much pleasure over the next decade.
