Medium-deep garnet in color with a hint of purple, the 2009 ‘The Election’ Shiraz gives aromas of blackberry preserves, mulberries and spice cake with nuances of Provence herbs and lavender. Full bodied with plenty of ripe, expressive peppered black berry flavors, it has a good line of refreshing acidity and a medium to firm level of velvety tannins lending just enough texture through the long finish. Drinking now, it should remain good through 2019. Importer: Total Beverage Solutions, Mount Pleasant, SC
