In good vintages like 2004, Deyo can be one of Spain’s best Merlots. The fact that it is one of Spain’s only Merlots is moot when you taste Deyo’s warm and spicy black fruit, its fine-grained oak, and then all the coffee, butter and pepper that work the finish.
