The 2007 Dolcetto d’Alba Vigna Villej reveals terrific length and richness in its core of perfumed, dark red fruit. The wine offers plenty of depth and sheer stuffing to continue to drink well for at least a few years. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2013.
This is a wonderful set of new releases from the Brovia family. The 2005 Barolos are very much in the style of the vintage and show tons of balance and sheer harmony. The Barolos are vinified in a traditional manner, using natural yeasts and with a preference towards cement for the single-vineyard wines, which are subsequently aged in French oak. The entry-level Barolo is made from the estate’s youngest vines and aged in large Slavonian oak.
