Made in a more precocious style than the 1993 Evenstad Reserve, the 1993 Reserve offers a medium ruby color, attractive, Burgundian-like, sweet, jammy, cherry, smoked meat, herb, and earthy scents, medium to full body, softer, more user-friendly tannin and acid levels, and a sweet, ripe finish with good delineation and crispness. It will provide delicious drinking over the next 3-4 years. This is an impressive, well-made, Burgundian smelling and tasting example of Oregon Pinot Noir. This high quality, relatively new Oregon winery bottles its wines without fining or filtration. In the case of the limited production Carter Vineyard, the wine is bottled directly from barrel without racking to the tank.Tel. (612) 473-9825
