Beaulieu's dense, saturated ruby-colored 1995 Zinfandel offers up textbook aromas of jammy black fruits, pepper, and spice. Full-bodied and lush, with loads of glycerin and alcohol (14.5%), this medium to full-bodied, extremely well-made Zin is a treat to drink. The wine's low acidity and luscious abundance of ripe berry fruit suggests near-term drinking (over the next 3-4 years). Kudos to BV for this excellent wine. Tel. (707) 963-2411
