The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon DuBrul Vineyard was aged in 70% new French oak. It delivers a nose of Asian spices, incense, violets, cassis, and black currant leading to an elegantly styled wine with some delicacy and finesse but little depth or breadth on the palate. Drink it over the next 6 years. The stated aim of Owen Roe is ' to do cool climate viticulture in Yakima Valley'. Owen Roe's new releases are all good to excellent. There is a consistency of style within the Owen Roe portfolio. The aim is clearly to produce wines of elegance and finesse.
