The 2017 Pinot Noir includes 20% whole-bunch fruit this year, matured for 11 months in 50% new and 50% second-fill barrels. It is showing a little more maturity on the rim than I would have liked for such a young wine. The bouquet is quite generous but rather reduced in style, and this is detracting from its definition. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannin and moderate acidity, and turns fleshy and plush toward the finish, which has an easygoing personality.
