The 2011 Altrovino is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc with distinctive tones of dried graham cracker and dusty earth, backed by black olive, blackberry and dried herbs. Although the nose is very dry, the palate is surprising rich, soft and luscious. This is a wine with two contrasting personalities that ultimately reach seamless integration.
