The best value in their red wines is the 2007 Syrah Anna’s Estate. Big, thick blackberry and cassis flavors intermixed with some pepper and meat juices jump from the glass of this supple, exuberant, medium to full-bodied wine with velvety texture. It is not the most complex Syrah, but it’s one to drink over the next 4-5 years. One of the better wineries in Paso Robles, Adelaida continues to turn out high quality wines that remain realistically priced. Kudos to winemaker Terry Culton, who continues to show a fine talent for producing quality wines from Adelaida Cellars.Tel. (800) 676-1232; Fax (805) 239-4671
