The 2006 Bully is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and 10% Petit Verdot aged in 100% new French oak. The Cabernet and Merlot were both sourced from the Kiona Vineyard. A saturated purple in color, it exhibits an expressive aromatic array of pain grille, scorched earth, espresso, black currant, and blackberry. Made in a similar go-for-broke style, on the palate it is full-bodied, plush, layered, and succulent. It conceals a boatload of fine-grained tannin which should support 4-6 years of further development. It will offer a drinking window extending from 2013 to 2021.
Gorman Winery, owned, operated, and staffed entirely by Chris Gorman, began in 2002 and currently produces 1600 cases out of a Woodinville warehouse.
