Vicchiomaggio's 1991 Chianti Classico Riserva Petri is one of the finest 1991s I tasted from what is generally a disappointing vintage. The wine exhibits a deep, healthy, garnet/ruby color, an intriguing herb, berry, leather, and vanilla-scented nose, sweet, ripe fruit, medium to full body, and light tannin in the heady finish.
