This is a dark and heavily oak-driven red wine to drink on a cold winter night. The 2013 Negroamaro Abatemasi is a massive expression with a dark, inky and impenetrable appearance. The body of the wine is super muscular and thick with all kinds of barbecue smoke, exotic spice, prune and jammy fruit coming at you from every which direction. It's almost too much of a good thing.
