This domaine bottled all of their 1990s in September, 1991, so I have had the opportunity to see them in bottle in November, 1991 and again in September, 1992. My notes from both tastings are nearly identical. The style is one of ripe, fruity wines, with medium body, soft tannins, and low acidity. The wines, which are not made for extended cellaring, should be consumed within their first 5-6 years of life. They are cleanly made, but somewhat commercial in orientation. The medium ruby-colored, light Chambertin reveals a clipped, monolithic bouquet of grilled nuts and spicy fruit. In the mouth, it is tasty, round, elegant and sweet, with a supple finish. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. Importer: Vineyard Brands, Chester, VT.
